Nd:YAG Lasers at 532nm

The fundamental wavelength of most Lee Laser products is 1064 nm. This is the most powerful wavelength that is produced by a Nd:YAG laser.

Lee Laser also manufactures lamp-pumped (Series 800), diode-pumped (Series LDP) Nd:YAG lasers and end-diode-pumped (Series LEP) DPSS lasers all of which may be frequency doubled to produce the 532-nm wavelength. We offer TEMoo-mode models with rated output power up to 8 Watts, and multimode models rated up to 100 Watts output power at 532-nm (green) wavelength. Lee Laser even manufactures a 10-Watt red Nd:YAG laser with output wavelength at 660 nm.

The intra-cavity design of Lee Laser's SHG assembly results in superior performance in the Q-switched mode. While the extra-cavity SHG design that is used by most of Lee Laser's competitors produces 532-nm pulse stability that is much poorer than at 1064 nm, Lee Laser's pulse stability at 532 nm is much better than at a laser's 1064-nm emission wavelength. All of this results in the following benefits:

      1. greater conversion efficiency from 1064 nm to 532 nm
      2. superior Q-switched pulse stability
      3. permissible operation at much higher Q-switch frequencies because of better pulse stability
      4. much longer SHG lifetime; no requirement to raster-scan 1064-nm beam across face of SHG crystal (LBO) to maintain undamaged beam input site, as do competitors

The rated beam power output of all of these lasers is in the Q-switched mode. All of these lasers may be operated in the continuous (CW) mode, but because of the intracavity design of the SHG assembly, beam power output tends to be somewhat unstable.

Series 800 Lamp Pumped Lasers

Series 800:  Lamp-pumped CW and Q-switched Nd:YAG lasers

  • 532 nm Q-switched models up to 100 Watts

With performance at 1.06 µm available in TEMoo models up to 25 Watts, and multi-mode models producing 1000 watts, and 0.53 µm (green) power up to 100 watts, the Series 800 are our most popular industrial lasers. Rugged, reliable and user friendly, the Series 800 has become the standard for Industrial CW and Q-switched ND:YAG worldwide.
